A Canadian credential network, jointly operated by two Canadian companies.
Oliu™ Inc. is a Canadian federally incorporated company, jointly owned by We Know Training and Credivera. Headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. Built and hosted 100% in Canada.
Oliu™ at a glance
Oliu™ is the Canadian credential network — a free digital wallet for Canadians and an open W3C-aligned credential infrastructure for the credentialing authorities who issue qualifications Canadians earn and carry. It is operational today, being opened to third-party issuers now, and structured for the long term through an independent governance entity being established as the network opens.
Oliu™ Inc. is DIACC PCTF certified. The platform is built on the W3C Verifiable Credentials standard, aligned with the DIACC Pan-Canadian Trust Framework and Digital Governance Standards Institute guidance, and operates entirely within Canadian jurisdiction.
We Know Training
We Know Training has been building training and credentialing infrastructure for Canadian workforces since 2002.
The company operates a portfolio of training and credentialing brands serving safety, compliance, and professional-development sectors across Canada — including Danatec, Fleet Safety International, and Business Career College. Over two decades, WKT has delivered training to millions of Canadian learners, working directly with governments, regulators, industry associations, and employers.
WKT brings to Oliu™ the operational depth of running credentialing businesses at scale, the commercial understanding of how credentialing authorities actually work, and the Canadian customer relationships the network is built to serve.
Credivera
Credivera is a Canadian verifiable-credentials technology company that operates the Credivera Exchange — the first open exchange for verifiable credentials.
Credivera's platform provides the technical foundation for credential issuance, lifecycle management, and verification that Oliu™ is built on. The company has been developing verifiable-credentials infrastructure for Canadian credentialing bodies, regulators, and enterprise customers for several years. Credivera is DIACC PCTF certified.
Credivera brings to Oliu™ the platform architecture, the standards-aligned technical implementation, and the ongoing engineering work that makes Oliu™ run.
How the partnership works
WKT and Credivera are equal partners in Oliu™ Inc. The two companies bring complementary strengths — WKT the front-of-house operational and commercial depth in credentialing, Credivera the back-of-house technical platform and standards implementation — and jointly operate Oliu™ as a single company with a single mandate.
The partnership is structured as a Canadian federally incorporated joint venture. Oliu™ Inc. operates as a dedicated company, with its own governance and accountability, building infrastructure that is designed to serve Canadians and the Canadian credentialing authorities who issue their qualifications.
As the Oliu™ network opens to third-party issuers, the commercial ownership structure is separated from the network's governance through an independent not-for-profit entity — the Canadian Credential Trust Authority — being established to own the network's public-trust functions. The operator-governor separation is documented on the Trust & Governance page.
What Oliu™ is for
Credentials today are fragmented, slow to verify, and easy to fake. A safety ticket earned in Alberta is not automatically recognized in Ontario. A licence issued in one province requires manual verification in another. Credential fraud costs regulated industries real money and real safety risk. Labour mobility across provincial lines remains friction-heavy in an economy that increasingly depends on mobility.
Oliu™ exists to solve a specific part of this problem: to provide the trusted digital credential infrastructure that lets credentials issued by recognized Canadian authorities travel with workers, be verified in seconds, and remain durable over decades. Oliu™ does not replace the credentialing authorities; it carries their decisions, verifiably, across the Canadian economy.
The long-term purpose is to be infrastructure Canadians and Canadian organizations can rely on for as long as Canadian credentials need to travel — which is to say, for a long time.
